The app formats audio for RingEX, supports multiple queues and departments, and eliminates the need for manual audio management.

  • Does the RingEX App work with RingCX?

    Not at this time. The Easy On Hold® RingEX App currently works within the RingEX phone system. Integration with RingCX is planned for a future release.

  • Do I need to change any settings in RingEX to use the app?

    No. You do not need to manually adjust your RingEX settings. The app automatically overrides the audio configured in Phone System → Groups → Call Queues → Greetings & Hold Music.

  • How does the app control Waiting Queue Music and Hold Music?

    The app automatically uploads and assigns custom audio files to both Waiting in Queue Music and Hold Music fields. Any calls routed through those queues will hear the updated content managed by the app.

  • What happens if a call bypasses the queue?

    If a call is transferred directly to an individual user and that user places the caller on hold, the caller will hear the hold music configured at the user extension level, not the queue-level audio managed by the app.

  • Can I manage multiple queues with the RingEX App?

    Yes. The app automatically pulls in your existing RingEX call queues and allows you to assign Easy On Hold® playlists to each one. This makes it easy to customize messaging and music for different departments or purposes.

  • Does the RingEX App use live streaming audio?

    No. While Easy On Hold® offers live streaming solutions, the RingEX integration uses secure file upload automation. Audio files are updated dynamically, but not delivered as a continuous stream.

  • How is this different from Easy On Hold live streaming?

    The scheduling logic is similar, but the delivery method is different. Instead of streaming audio continuously, the RingEX App uploads updated files at set intervals to meet RingEX platform requirements while still providing fresh, time-sensitive content.

  • How often is the audio updated?

    Audio updates occur automatically within the limits allowed by your RingEX account. Typical update intervals range from every 15 minutes to several hours, depending on system constraints and configuration.
